Klaasvakie

Overview

Celebrated actresses Wilna Snyman and Antoinette Kellermann join forces to play two elderly women living in a nursing home. Klaasvaakie was performed on the main stage opening on 24th October 2011 and was directed by Marthinus Basson.

Julienne and Albertine are locked in a bitter and bitchy rivalry, but above all else, they are trying to exorcise the ghosts of their individual (and collective) pasts: There is Julienne – raped as a girl; a child who had to birth a child. Then there is wealthy Albertine, whose situation was advanced through her father’s involvement in shady, political double-dealing.”
