Overview
Encounters, Africa’s premier documentary festival, ran at the Fugard Theatre Studio and screened multiple exciting documentaries worldwide, some being world premieres. Highlights of the festival included Hot Docs and Berlin winner, Call Me Kuchu; Amnesty prize winner Bahrain: Shouting in the Dark and critics’ favourite The Island President.
